Preschool

Our K3 and K4 classes use the A Beka curriculum. 

K3

The K3 class works on language arts, numbers, Bible, music, and arts and crafts. 

In language arts they develop recognition of name, sound, and picture for short vowels and consonants.  They begin to work on the formation of vowels and consonants in upper and lower case.  They also work on color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, and science.

In numbers, the K3 students work on simple counting from 1 - 30 and number concepts from 1 - 15.

In Bible they have lessons on topics such as Creation, Noah, Boy Samuel, Daniel, Boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus, and Good Samaritan.

In Music, Arts, and Crafts the students work on colors, shapes, following directions, and eye-hand coordination.

K4

The K4 class also works on language arts, numbers, Bible, music, arts, and crafts.

In language arts the students work on developing skills in phonics and reading, writing, poetry, and language.

In numbers the students work on number recognition an counting from 1 - 100, number concepts from 1 - 20, numbers before and after 1 - 20, numbers largest an smallest 1 - 20, and simple addition facts with 1.

In Bible the students have lessons with memory verses, hymns/choruses on topics such as Creation, Noah, Boy Samuel, Daniel, Boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus, and Good Samaritan.

In music, arts, and crafts the students work on development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting, an gluing.
